YOUNG ADULTS
MINISTRY
BECOMING DISCIPLES WHO MAKE DISCIPLES
BECOMING DISCIPLES WHO MAKE DISCIPLES
OUR MISSION
"Becoming disciples who make disciples."
If you come to our events or join our class, our goal is to launch your adult life in a trajectory of faithfulness, and in doing so train you how to do the same for others. We want to grow and become the kind of disciples who then go and produce even more disciples. This is the model set for us by Jesus who grew in wisdom and stature before going out to change hearts and minds.

OUR VISION
"To create an ‘upper room environment’ in which our love for each other reflects the intimacy we have with King Jesus, and out of which we walk with maturity to carry the invitation of eternal life in God.”
Basically, we love community, we love Jesus, and we want everyone to have community with Jesus. We reach out to the world around us and pull them into our community so that they can meet our King and live with Him eternally.

WHAT IS THE YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY?
"The Young Adults Ministry is for individuals who are launching into their adult life. This typically means Graduate Students and Young Professionals who are between the ages of 20 to 30, but we welcome anyone transitioning into early stages of adulthood. We have casual events like our Game Nights, scripture-focused events like our class & Bible-studies, and we have one-off events like parties, retreats, and trainings. However, the goal of our ministry isn't just to entertain, but to become disciples who make disciples. Being believers on the frontlines of God's mission is at the core of who we want to be."

AN 'UPPER-ROOM'
ENVIRONMENT
We like to describe our ministry as an ‘Upper Room Environment,’ which means:
An intimate, family-like group of disciples brought together by our shared conviction in King Jesus.

LAUNCHING ADULTS CLASS
Located in the main building, we meet in room 121 immediately following Sunday-morning service. Our class is dedicated to helping our members launch into independent adulthood by becoming disciples who make disciples. The heart of the class is a scriptural study, but we have other rhythms that bolster community and encourage us to live out the core mission of our ministry.

MEET THE MINISTER
Theo Westbrook | Multimedia and Networking Minister
"Hey! I am the Multimedia and Networking minister at College Church. In other words, I am responsible for our media assets AND the minister of our new Young Adults Ministry!
God's mission is ultimately my primary motivator, but I love seeking out God in other ways in my personal time. Adventuring, woodworking, photography, and cinematography are some of my greatest loves...but are of course second to spending time (and watching k-dramas) with my fiance, Rochelle. Scholastically, I graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor's degree in Bible and Ministry, and I am continuing my graduate studies at the Harding School of Theology.
I know how hard the transition into independent adult-life can be (trust me, I'm in my 20's), which is why our Ministry is here to offer a safe 'Upper Room Environment' for us to have community with each other and King Jesus. You are welcome here, and we would love to see you in class and at our events."
With love,
Theo
