Our Mission
"Making disciples who make disciples"
Our Vision
We want our college ministry to be a place where students are welcomed into a family that loves them, trains them, and deploys them into the world as life-long disciples and disciple-makers for King Jesus. Our vision is that our college ministry might become a mission outpost from which disciple-makers are sent throughout the world so that they become a network of disciple-makers, leading to a disciple-making movement.
Our Convictions: "GC5"
"The Gospel of Christ gives us a Great Calling which requires a Great Commitment to the Greatest Commands and the Great Commission." We believe that if this becomes our worldview, we will live a life of being disciples of Jesus and making disciples for Jesus.
Our Values
"We Are HIS" (Click Here for an explanation and Scriptures for our Convictions and Values)
History
The College Church of Christ began an organized college ministry in 1974, with Terry and Charlotte Smith leading the program for five years. Dwight and Barbie Smith served from 1981 until 2006. Todd and Debbie Gentry took over in 2006 and served for sixteen years. Grant and Kayla Fitzhugh began leading the Rock House college ministry in 2022.
Name and Location
Located at 802 E. Market Ave. and open weekdays from 9-5, the ministry is housed in a former residence now serving as offices and fellowship rooms. Its outside walls are rock, but the name "rock" also recalls the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, that those who hear and obey his words are like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

Church Services and Sunday and Wednesday Bible Classes
The College Church offers Sunday morning college class and 15-20 Wednesday evening Home Bible Studies for college students. Sunday worship begins at 9:00 AM, and Bible Class follows at 10:30. Our College Bible Class meets in the family room at the center of our building; in fall of 2024, we will be focusing on "Living Acts 2-4 in '24."
Young Adults and Graduate Students also have a Bible class in Room 225.

Join The Rock House
Our ministry wants to help you be a disciple who makes disciples. We believe that you will find a college group that loves God and loves others at College Church, and we welcome everyone to come and see. We provide opportunities to grow together in discipleship, to serve, and to build Christ-centered relationships that can last a lifetime.
