Our Mission
Making disciples who make disciples.
Our Vision
We want our college ministry to be a place where students are welcomed into a family that loves them, trains them, and sends them into the world as life-long disciples and disciple-makers for King Jesus. Our vision is that our college ministry might become a mission outpost from which disciple-makers are sent throughout the world so that they become a network of disciple-makers, leading to a disciple-making movement.
GC5 | Our Convictions
"The Gospel of Christ gives us a Great Calling which requires a Great Commitment to the Greatest Commands and the Great Commission."
We believe that if this becomes our worldview, we will live a life of being disciples of Jesus and making disciples for Jesus.

WHAT IS THE COLLEGE MINISTRY?
"The purpose of our College Ministry is to welcome students into a family that loves them, trains them, and sends them throughout the world as lifelong disciples and disciple-makers for King Jesus. We know that while starting college can be an exciting new chapter, it's not always easy. The heartbeat of our church family is investing in college students and encouraging them to step into God's mission. Many of our students gain an adopted family while in Searcy or spend Wednesday nights in homes of church members for Bible study. We also have game nights, service project days, and prayer meetings. Through Bible class and disciple-making groups, we are especially trying to equip our students to be disciples who make disciples, both in college and beyond."

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?
The College Ministry is home to many opportunities that you can take advantage of.
Take a moment to explore these opportunities below!

Worship & Bible Class
Sunday Mornings
After worship, our college class meets at 10:30 in the heart of our building. Our college class is where we lay the foundation for a culture of disciple-making in the college ministry, and we would love to see you!

Game Nights
Sunday Evenings
These are some of our favorite times together as we really get to know each other. Bring a friend and join us for a meal, devotional, and games Sundays from 6-8 pm. See our social media for updates.

Home Bible Studies
Wednesday Night
We offer many Home Bible Studies on Wednesday nights and hope you will get connected! Click below for this year's list.

Disciple Making Groups
Wednesday Nights
We encourage every student to get involved in making disciples. A main way we do this is through discipleship groups. For more info, email Grant Fitzhugh (see below).

Adopt a College Student
Year-Round
This intergenerational program helps students plug in to a family while in Searcy, however much you'd like. They provide a home away from home (sometimes meals!) plus opportunities
for you to bless them.
for you to bless them.

Service Opportunities
Weekly
We host regular service projects through the college ministry, as well as joining the other service opportunities of the church. Rock Mentoring is also a great way to make a difference in a child's life by being a mentor T/Th from 3:30-5:30 at College Church.

BIBLE CLASS
Bible class is an essential part of our College Ministry. Not only is it where we dwell in Scripture as a community, but it is also our "team huddle" at the beginning of each week where we encourage one another to go out and be disciples who make disciples. If you want to learn more about scripture and join a disciple-making culture, then you should come to the College Bible Class! Right now we are studying the book of Revelation.
When: 10:30 am or immediately following service.

MEET THE MINISTER
Grant Fitzugh | College Minister
"Hey everyone! My name is Grant, and I am the college minister at College Church. I have had the joy of working with our college students for four years now, and it has been a great blessing to me and my family.
I graduated in Bible from Harding in 2021, then from Harding School of Theology with an MDIV in 2023. My wife, Kayla, and I have been married for five years, and our son Ezra is one (as of writing this in 2025). As a family, we love football, pickleball, and pretty much any other sport. We will gladly take on any challenger who thinks they can beat us in a sport or any board game (we're just a little bit competitive :).
We love getting to invest in college students and train disciple-makers! Some of our favorite memories come from the mission trips we've had with students in Florida and the Hawaiian islands over the past few years. My prayer is that God would continue to mold me, my family, and our college students to know Him, become who He wants us to be, and be used for His glory in bringing many around the world to know Him."
